I found myself booking a trip to Orlando back in November when I found I didn't have to be in the office for the last two weeks of the year. I have a friend, Monica (shown right), who relocated down here back in July so here I am. I landed safely at noon on December 26..... Christmas gift to self! I'm so over the winter holidays. I'm so selfish at times and when I have time off, I want to jet off to somewhere fabulous but the lack of funds this year hindered me to stay in the states.
Ya know...it wasn't such a bad choice to come to Florida. I left Virginia with temps in the 30s and I arrived in Orlando with it being a hot and humid 82 degrees and me loving the hot, humid weather, I am definitely in my element. I ventured out to City Walk on Friday night....what a cool place. Lots of shopping and dining! Emeril has a restaurant there and I can't wait to go. I am a Food Network junkie!! LOL
